Apparently when you drive an electric car, they don’t apply to you or something:

I think this was closer than the dashcam makes it look. Right as I started moving I had looked to the right to confirm no one was coming, and didn’t see anyone. My reaction was a bit slower than usual as I was keeping an eye on the bike, and I was definitely surprised to look back to the right and have a car right there.

Good to see you proceeding, right after making sure that they stopped. Too many of these videos show the driver in your position fully yielding to the runner, letting them cross .
